  • How long should I wait to get waxed after I've shaved?
4-6 weeks is recommended as hair takes 1 to 1 1/2 weeks to grow out each of the 3 cycles! Keep up with exfoliation as it will help achieve the best result after waxing!
  • What can I do to prepare for a wax?
Make sure you have at least 4-6 weeks of hair growth. Taking Ibuprofen 1 hour prior to your visit. Try to avoid caffeine as well as that can increase discomfort during a wax!
  • Is it okay to shave between my wax appointments?
Please no! Shaving just one time in between may reverse all that is gained from waxing and can further irritate follicles.
  • What home care can I do at home between my wax appointments?
After every waxing treatment please wait at least 72 hours to exfoliate the skin! After the 72 hours you may exfoliate 2-3 times a week with either a dry brush, scrub, or chemical exfoliant. Hydrating the skin is also very important! Make sure you're hydrating morning and night with a product meant for the area! I recommend the FUR oil or a grape seed oil.
  • What can I expect after my wax?
Freshly waxed skin may be tender for a couple days depending on your skin type. Taking Ibuprofen can help with inflammation in the skin. You can expect your hair to start to grow back thinner the more you get waxed! Lastly, you will expect smooth beautiful skin!!
  • What are some contraindications to waxing?
Topical & Internal Steroids | Antibiotics | Acne Medication | Using Retinol/Retin-A | Sunburns | Chemotherapy | Psoriasis Flare Up | Varicose Veins | Diabetes
  • What is a Vajacial?
A Vajacial is a skincare treatment specifically designed for the intimate area, often performed after hair removal. It involves a series of steps to cleanse, exfoliate, and treat the skin around the bikini line or vulva. The treatment includes: Cleansing: A thorough wash to remove dirt, sweat, and any residual products. Exfoliation: To slough off dead skin cells and help prevent ingrown hairs. Mask: A soothing or clarifying mask tailored to address concerns like irritation, discoloration, or bumps. High Frequency: Helps to kill bacteria on the skin, making it effective for treating acne and other bacterial skin conditions. Extractions: Gentle removal of any ingrown hairs or clogged pores, if necessary. Hydration: Application of moisturizers or serums to soothe and hydrate the skin. The Vajacial aims to improve skin texture, reduce ingrown hairs, and enhance overall skin health in the intimate area.
  • Can I receive a Vajacial post wax?
Yes, you can receive a Vajacial after waxing! It will be a treatment focusing more on soothing and treating your skin. A Vajacial 5-7 days after a wax will be a more thorough treatment focusing on discoloration and ingrowns. I will always consult with you prior to determine the best timing and approach for your individual needs.
